My daughter received the AJWay card and the coverage of the cost of her preschool field trip to Rufener's in Suffield. Thank you so very much.
As my boyfriend and I were leaving downtown Kent headed back to our car after seeing the Budweiser Clydesdales, I looked down by the railroad tracks and found the card lying there. I wasnt going to pick it up but I did. And Im glad I did. I will now go out and make someones day like AJ would want. God wanted me to pick this card up. Its like he chose me to be the one to pick it up. Thank you. And God bless Ajs family.
I was enjoying lunch with my wife and my mother. Our waitress approached us with the check and she appeared to be chocked up. She placed the check down and on the carrier was an AJ card and a note. I could barely finish reading it as my eyes were swelling and I passed it to my wife and mother who both were overcome with emotion. I ran down AJ's mother in the parking lot and thanked her and threatened her with a ticket for generosity. In law enforcement we never see the aftermath of tragedy just the tragedy. Well 24 hours later my eyes are still swelling for the hurt this loving family must of endured, but also known AJ is in God's warm embrace. I will use my AJ card wisely for truly a most needy person or family. Until then his card I will carry in my pocket behind my badge. God Bless this family.
I haven't actually received a card, I just viewed it on the website, and such an incredible story. I'm at work, right now teary-eyed and feeling so much empathy for AJ's family and friends. He is such an incredible child (I say, is because AJ is still here spreading, love, hope and joy, day in and out). Such an incredible and infectious personality. He loves his family and you can just tell in the pictures with his siblings. Purple is my favorite color, and when I see it I enjoy it, so much, although I don't over-indulge with purple things; so today the warm, and purple glow surrounding your family gave me joy in my heart. I Corinthians, verse 13: And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the great of these is love. Helping others along this path of life with love is the greatest gift you have shared and helped others share with this world. God Bless and Keep You and Your Family through this life and the next.
I got my AJ way card from my counselor. At school, and when I got it I got a little emotional. Because he was so nice And just randomly we would give each other these looks. And there's something else I would put that I have heard from people but I don't believe that so. I miss you AJ 💗😢
I was having dinner with my husband and 10 year old daughter at Texas Roadhouse in Stow, Ohio on January 31, 2016. We were anticipating the bill but were pleasantly surprised when we were informed by the waitress that our bill had been paid. I had the opportunity to meet the kind hearted individual who paid our bill. She explained the meaning behind the organization. I was blown away by the generosity and the purpose behind "TheAJWay". I plan to pay it forward in honor of AJ and keep his memory alive to an unsuspecting person or family.
I actually go to Stanton (where AJ went) I am a grade below him. I heard he was very sweet and generous and also caring. I got my card from one of my 8th grade friends who was friends with AJ. But i am very sorry for your loss and AJ's legacy lives on at our school.
I'm a server at a small restaurant in stow, ohio. I had the pleasure of serving AJ's parents and siblings. After cashing them out, I went back to clean off the table and was given this card along with a very generous tip. This brought tears to my eyes. I'm tearing up as I'm writing this now . Such a wonderful family. I read AJ's story as soon as I got home tonight . What a sweet angel. At such a young age wanting to help people for doing good things . I will always remember you and your family and I will definitely be paying it forward . Thank you guys so much, I wish I was able to get to you guys but you had already left . God bless <3
My son and I were out for dinner or more just dessert! I was very surprised and confused at first. I don't see very well without my glasses and had to ask the waitress. She then explained the kind gesture, but before I could thank AJ's family, they had left. My son is almost 10 and looks very similar to AJ. My son was very ill when he was a child and I try not to take one day for granted and cherish and make as many wonderful memories as possible. I can't even image the loss of son and so tragically. I had to go home and research more about our kind neighbors. I will keep them in my prayers. Over Thanksgiving and Christmas I found that we had a neighbor that really needed our help with meals and preparation. I had a small Neighborhood party for Christmas and left for a moment to take a meal to my neighbors that no longer travel very well. I had to much in my hands and my friend helped me to carry the delivery. After we got back my other neighbors asked if they could start to help in making life just a little bit easier for the family. It doesn't take much to help others and it warms the hearts of all included.
I was getting breakfast before work at Tree City and when I pulled up through the drive-thru to pay, I was told it was taken care of and received the card. Immediately, I logged on to this website to learn more and was touched even more than I had been. I will definitely be passing it on soon so more people can share in this wonderful way to remember and honor a young boy lost too soon.
