I was getting breakfast before work at Tree City and when I pulled up through the drive-thru to pay, I was told it was taken care of and received the card. Immediately, I logged on to this website to learn more and was touched even more than I had been. I will definitely be passing it on soon so more people can share in this wonderful way to remember and honor a young boy lost too soon.
We met the Nicholsons after AJ was gone. Though we didn't know him personally, we felt his energy and presence through stories and memories shared. We struggled with the "right' or "best" way to pay forward. Until the start of school loomed again. We decided we wanted to share AJ's love of life by making going back to school a little easier on families who needed more than they had. We bought a couple of back packs and filled them with school supplies appropriate for middle school students, and gave one to a family who needed it for a boy, and the other to Kent Social Services for a girl (or a boy who likes pink). AJ's legacy! Pay it forward.
