"I'm an 8th grader at Stanton and I wasn't the closest with AJ. But whenever I got the chance to say hey or ask him what's up he was always skiddish to answer around all the big kids. I remember at lacrosse camp AJ came up and asked if middle school was scary. I told him that as long as he would be himself everyone would love him. And over this past few months I've saw he took my advice, because everyone misses him. Every time I saw him I would sing apart of a song and say "Ohhhhh we've made it this faaaaaaar" and he would say just the last word "Kid" To this day I can't help but smile and I never say the world "kid" because I know he's finishing the song for me. I can't believe that he would be 12 in just a few days. I love you man"
